We just found out that white rhino Macheo, three years old at Taronga Western Plains Zoo (AU), was euthanized on 12 July 2016. He suffered from impaction of the small intestine.

Macheo was born in 2013 to mom Mopani. Both survived from a mysterious illness that killed 4 of the white rhinos in the zoo.

Last year in December Mopani welcomed another calf, Kamari.
