We have to report the birth of three rhino baby boys in Europe.

Two of them share the same birthday: Tuesday 25 September 2018!
At Bewdley, located in the middle of England, Southern White Rhino mum Ailsa gave birth to her second baby boy during the first hours of the morning. The baby was on his feet after just one hour. He has not received a name, yet, but the facility said that it will start with the letter “G”, as all of its new arrival’s names will follow this rule. Mum Ailsa, who is only 8 years and half, and her mate Barnold had their first baby, another male called Ekozu, in Spring 2016. You can check this gorgeous video of the new baby here.
The second baby is again a Southern White Rhino male and was born in France, precisely at La Boissière-du-Doré, near Nantes. He arrived a little bit earlier than expected: second-time mum Swanie’s term was meant to be October. The little baby boy  weights 45 kilos and has been called Wakati, which is a word of Swahili origin which means “à propos”. Wakati joins his dad, Max, and another adult female called Hacuna. Hacuna is pregnant and she is expected to give birth between December 2018 and January 2019!

The third baby boy is an Eastern Black Rhino and he was born at Port Lympne (UK) on 23 February 2018. His name is Azizi and he is the first baby for mum Nyota. Azizi’s dad is experienced bull Sammy. Unfortunately there are no further info on him at the moment.
