Maryland Zoo announced on his Official page that there is a new White Rhino on the Facility. The young male, called Jaharo, was born on 28 September 2012 at The Wilds, Ohio, and arrived in November 2016 to the zoo. The aim was to give Stubby, the 22 years old Bull that resides there, a new companion, after Daisey Mae’s dead in April 2016.

Jaharo is getting used to his new home, Zoo Official say that the initial introducion with the ostrich and the zebra went very well. At the moment, Jaharo and Stubby haven’t physically been introduced yet, they can only smell and hear each other from the barn. The introduction need to be very slow and relaxed, in order to avoid fight between the two males, that are both territorial.
