Southern White Rhino Elena born in 2014 in Beekse Bergen (NL) was transferred for breeding purpose to Emmen (NL) on 31 October 2018. She reunited with her full sister Zahra born five years previous than Elena.
They are both very important for the Southern White Rhino European Breeding Program: it is hope for them to become mothers really soon; they will share the exhibit with another older female called Emily from Denmark. Here you can see the video where the two sisters meet again.
