Eleven-year-old Indian Rhino Asha gave birth in May 2018 to a new baby. This boy is the only the second Indian Rhino calf in Chester Zoo (UK) and he came five years after his older sister called Komala: so there’s a great distance between the two calves.
Few weeks ago keepers decided the name for this second Indian baby rhino: it is Akeno. Zoo officials described him in this way: “He is bolshie. He is cheeky. He is quite the handful for his mom”.
