With hearts filled with sadness we huddle together with Kanazawa zoo, Japan, for comfort.

The baby Black Rhino boy was born on 2 January 2017 in a perfect delivery, but he was smaller than a normal calf. Even though mum Lora helped him in standing up, he didn’t have enough vitality to do it.

Veterinary Staff tried everything to save the baby, but unfortunately he couldn’t survive.

According to Press release from the zoo, Lora‘s 7th calf was born at 11:30 a.m. and three and half hours later, at 3.00 p.m. his death was confirmed.

The Zoo annouced  that Lora’s baby G cause of death was respiratory failure.
