Here we are with a second part of a long, long writing about the Rhinos from the world.

We will start with some of the young ones!
Two gorgeous little lady Rhinos have just received a name: they are Ria, from Veszprem, in Hungary, and Tamika, from Salzburg in Austria, both Southern White. We ignore the names of the other little ones listed in our chart, at the moment, but we will be very pleased to hear from somebody more informed.
We’d also like to inform that little Ushindi, from Zurich, is having some trouble with her eyesight. She is still behind the scenes with her mum Tanda, with Vet colleauges doing their best to understand her problem.

Changes and transfers are going on in Europe, with some already done.
At the beginning of June, Cerza Parc de Safari, in France, waved goodbye to two of its precious young lady Rhinos. The first one to be transferred was Indian Rhino Sundara: the third calf of Rhino couple Winona and Albrecht, born in late 2016, was brought to a new Facility, Parc de Branféré, in Bretagne, France. Sundara is now living with a mature female, Saar, and a male, called Ajang, with whom she will be paired in the future. Few months ago, the Zoo moved young female Maya to England for the same purpouse, as she and Ajang were too related to be a future breeding couple.
The second one was Southern White Rhino Mosi: born in 2016 and transferred with her mum from England, she left in mid June for Spain. She is now living at the Reserva Zoológica de Tabernas (Oasys MiniHolliwood) where she is going to meet another female, called Iris, Dutch-born, and a male, Heinz, born in Germany. We do really hope that Mosi’s arrival will stimulate this Rhino crash to become a succesful breeding one.
At the beginning of July, two Southern White Rhino young bulls, Amiri from Munster (Germany) and Timbo from Amnéville (France), arrived to a new Facility , which this years has becoming a new Rhino holders: ZOO Antwerpen, in Belgium. The European metapopulation of White Rhino has a surplus of young males which urged to be hosted in new Facilities.

So, many moves took place in the last couple of months, but more are on the way.
White Rhino Bill, from Seneca Park Zoo, in Rochester, New York State, is set to be transferred to the South Carolina, in a new Facility holder, the Riverbanks Zoo and Gardens. He will be the breeding bull of a crash which will see the arrival of two females from the wild. No date is set, or at least, not confirmed. Two young males will take Bill’s place, but it is not known who they are. It has only been written that they are between 2 and 4 years of age and they will come from different Facilities.
White Rhino Kusini, a mature bull that spent his last years in Germany, in Serengeti Park Hodenaghen, will be moved to Dvur Kralové, in Czech Republic. We will postpone the discussion about him and his move when it will be completed.
Young bull Pantaléon, the very first baby Rhino born in Buin Zoo, Chile, is set to be transferred to Colombia and Monarto Zoo, in Australia, is set to expand its Southern Black Rhino exhibit and receive a young female to start a breeding program!
