Oklahoma City Zoological Park (USA) announced the pregnancy of its residing Indian Rhino female, Niki. She only had one prior calf, Rupert, back in 2014 with bull Chandra.

The bull, dad Arun, has procreated more than 30 times in his life, but if everything goes as planned this will be the first offspring for this breeding pair: in fact Arun arrived from Fort Worth (Texas, USA) in February 2019 as part of a breeding recommendation that, we can now say, has been fruitful!

The pregnancy was confirmed by the veterinary team through hormone monitoring and ultrasounds (a type of test often used performed for this kind of check). Niki is healthy and her pregnancy seems to be going well and she is expected to give birth in late October/early November 2020.
