For the first time in 57 years a Black Rhino was born in Netherlands, exactly in Rotterdam Zoo (NL). It was born yesterday, just in time for Christmas (and a bit earlier on the expectations)!

The sex of the calf is still not confirmed (it seems a female from the webcams you can see here), and at the moment it’s calmly sleeping.

It’s the first calf for the mom Naima an bull Vungu.
