A great news from Lisieux (FR) came as first in this RhinoYear 2017!

White Rhino Beth arrived at the zoo from Kessingland (Africa Alive!) (UK) in middle 2016 as part of EEP. She had some problem with her estrous cycle, so it was decided to move her in another facility in the hope to stimulate her to breed. This kind of move does very often turn out to be perfect, Rhino Ladies starts to cycle again and babies could come between 2 to 3 years after. Some examples? Mafunyane, that welcomed her first baby in 2016 (we talk about it here). For Beth, hope is very high because in this article it is announced she could be pregnant! Infact, rhino bull Chris showed great interest for the new lady and mating has been observed twice, in September and in October 2016.

It is too early to be sure, this things need at least 4-5 months to be confirmed.

Anyway, we wait for Lisieux to give confirmation!

Finger crossed!
