With great sadness we report to you that Knoxville Zoological Gardens (Tennessee,USA) announced on Thursday 22 December 2016 that its beloved White Rhino bull Mondo passed away.

Mondo’s health deteriorated rapidly and, despite all the efforts, things didn’t get better.

Mondo was at least 44 years old and in Knoxville he sired 9 calf.
