We report that White Rhino lady Jenny was found dead on 2 December 2016.  The lady was 44 years old and the previous week she met for the very fisrt time the new bull Flannery/Genghis/Gus (we talk about his arrival here). Cause of death is uncertain, Zoo Official carried an authopsy but nothing official came out yet.

We also inform that White Rhino lady Petra, 35 years old, was put to sleep in June 2016 due to CKD. Nobody informed us of this sad news, till this morning and we really thank our supporter who alerted us.

In Emmen now live two White Rhinos: the bull Gus and the lady Zahra (born in 2009).
