Fresno Chaffee (California,USA) holds the pair from July 2015 and they stated that they started to breed shortly after their arrival.

The female is called Kayla. She is from Disney’s Animal Kingdom (Florida,USA) where she was born in 2005. Kayla’s pregnancy has not been confirmed officially with a trans-rectal ultrasound, but Veterinary Staff monitored her closely and her physical indications and behavioral changes do suggest her to be expecting.

The calf is expected in approximately 30 days.
