Great great joy from Munster (DE)!

After 16 months of pregnancy, Southern White Rhino Jane gave birth to a healthy baby boy on 20 May 2017. Both Mum and baby, who has been named Amiri (it means “Royally” in Afrikaans) , are said to be ok and are starting to bond properly.

At the moment, they re off-exhibit, but Zoo Officials will inform when they will be on display.

Little Amiri has a brother, called Eno. He resides in Lille (FR) with another young bull called Mapenzi.

Proud dad is Southern White Rhino bull Harry.
