In France, precisely at Amnéville (FR), Southern White Rhino Hekaw gave birth to a female healthy calf on 1 February 2018.

The “little” lady weights 85 kilos and has been named Arenka. She is now off-exhibit with her mum with whom she plays and learns.

Arenka’s bigger brother, Shango, was born in 2014 and was recently transferred to The Netherlands, where he is going to complete his developing along with other two young males.

Arenka and Shango’s dad is rhino bull Benny.
