Who is this cutie?
Let’s find out together!
“Hi! I am a baby black rhino girl born on 13 August 2016 at Asa Zoo, in Hiroshima, Japan.
I’m their 7th baby, so they are a wonderful couple!
And more, my grandma is Hana, the oldest black rhino in the world.
I have been named Nico. Do you know why?
In Japanese, Ni means 2 and Co (exactly Go) means 5 so in other words Nico means 25.
This number is a very happy one for Hiroshima citiziens because their professional
baseball team Hiroshima Toyo Carp captured its first pennant in 25 years on September 2016.
But I also like my name because the expression “nico nico” means “smile” in Japanese 🙂
I like to roll in mud
take a bath
as mum teaches me here
and I also like to run.”
