Great joy from Singapore when on 6 September 2017 Southern White Rhino mum Donsa gave birth without complications or human intervention to her 11th calf!

After 5 years of female calves in a row (which is great!) , big was the excitement when Keepers found out that the healthy baby is a male.

The baby and his 32 years old Mum are spending time together, off-exhibit, where the new one is enjoing lots of brush-scratch from his Keepers.

For Singapore the calf is the 21th born in total, a huge achievement for the breeding of this endangered species.

Zoo hosts a herd composed by 7 members, but we were able to find the name of only 5 rhinos, as you can see in our ID page. Help us to find out who are the 2 Rhinos missing!
