A truly sweet news reaches us directly from Beauval, France.

A little earlier than expected Indian Rhino Saathi, 12 years old, gave birth to a healthy female calf on Tuesday, 16 January 2018. The Keeper noticed that Saathi was restless and more nervous than usual and, when they came back from Lunch Break, the surprise was just being delivered.

The baby female calf has not a name yet. She has a bigger sister called Salyan that lives in France, too. Both sisters are Saathi and Sahib‘s daughter.
