Today is World Rhino Day and we celebrate it collecting and sharing a lot of exciting news from Zoos worldwhide!

At Bewdley (UK) the baby rhino girl born to Keyah and Barnold has received a name, beginning with the letter “F”. The name choosen by the Keepers is Fahari, which is of Swahili origin and means “Splendour”!

At Givskud (DK), Mazumba’s girl is thriving and needs a name. Zoo called for help trough its Official Facebook page here. Which name is gonna win?

At Taronga Western Plains Zoo (AU) there is a very exciting news! Southern Black Rhino Bakhita, 15 years old, is pregnant with her third calf and is due to give birth in mid-October. Her mate is Kwanzaa, 25 years old, who comes from Milwaukee (USA). Original announcement here.

At Cotswold (UK) a new baby rhino was born! Southern White Rhino Ruby, 11 years old, gave birth to a perfect healthy male calf on 13 September 2017. The baby’s father is again bull Monty. Original announcement here
