Four baby Eastern Black Rhinos were born in a row in Europe, boosting the number of this endangered species.

The fourth one, a little and healthy female, was born on Monday 3 July 2017 at 20.32 at Ebeltoft, in Danemark! She is rhino couple Bashira and Thabo‘s second calf, following her older brother Mandela.

Keepers have done a great job in allowing Thabo and Bashira to mate, as she is still weaning her older calf and is very protecting.

Bashira is showing to be a perfect mother, nurturing and taking care of her new baby, who is still unnamed.

The Safari Park has another male Eastern Black Rhino called Kito. He has not bond properly with Bashira so it is likely to be mooved to another Facility, probably in Koln (DE).
