The Wilds’ Southern White rhinoceros herd grew this month with the births of two male calves! The first one, named Gilman, was born on Nov. 16 to mother Zenzele and father Roscoe and is the first to be born in The Wilds’ new rhino barn.

. The calf name was given after the founder of The Howard Gilman Foundation.

The second calf, also fathered by Roscoe and still unnamed, arrived on Nov. 19 to mother Mustang Sally!

The calves are the 8th and 9th fourth-generation white rhinos to be born at The Wilds—the only facility that has had fourth and fifth generation births of the species outside of Africa.

Also the second Anan‘s baby was named Faith in honor of one of The Wilds volounteer.
