Southern White Rhino lady Zohari has finally given birth!

Her first calf is a male, still unnamed, and he was born on Christmas Eve at 22:45. The process went smoothly and the baby weighted at birth 62.3 kg: he is a big and strong calf, no doubt at all.

Zohari is taking motherhood in her string, she is very calm for a first time mum, but she is fiercely protecting her newborn. The baby is described as very hungry, since he has drunken more than expected and he seems to have very hairy ears.

The baby’s father is 10 years old Southern White Rhino bull Tom.
