UPDATE 2 : Zuri’s father is Sammy!

UPDATE: As we guessed and we wrote in our table, the mom of the little rhino is Ruaha. We think that Sammy is the dad, but we still have no information about him. The calf was named Zuri, that means “Beautiful” in Swahili. Unfortunately the name is the same as another female rhino in Chester. Hope this doesn’t mess things up 😀

On 27 August a baby black rhino was born in Port Lympne Zoo (UK). At the moment the facility is not willing to give any information. As soon as we get news we will update this article, so stay tuned!
