And finally here it came the third baby black rhino for Dvur Kralove! And it came in the cute shape of a little female! After Joe and Elias both born in June 2016, Black Rhino Lady Jola gave birth to the little female in the night of 13 October 2016. She is the third baby for Jola, who gave birth in 2006 to Jabu now in Mkomazi and in 2010 to Just Era who unfortunately died in 2012. The father is Black Rhino Bull Mweru, born in Port Lympne. Congrats to Dvur Kralove Staff for this incredible achievement!

Update: The zoo officially communicates that the baby female was born too tiny and little, in fact she wasn’t able to reach the breast of her mother. The keepers had to artificially fed her and she learnt to do it very quickly. It is hoped that once she reached an higher weight she will be able to eat on her own. There are good chances because she is showing to be very determined!
