Virginia Zoo announced today the exciting arrival of two juvenile White Rhino females. After beloved Alfred passed away few months ago (as we say here), Virginia Zoo confirmed its willing to contribute to the survival of Rhinos. The two females, both born in 2013, are from Singapore: that means they are adding precious blood in America’s White Rhinos, as their gene is not represented!

The girls’ names are Bora (that means “snow” in Albanian) and Zina (that means “secret spirit” in Africaan).

A White Rhino male is scheduled to join them later this year!
