Black Rhino Kufara, born in February 2010, is expecting her first calf in May 2017!

Zoo Officials are monitoring closely her progress because is her first pregnancy but so far things went ok.

It is really exciting: when her baby will be born, he or she will be the third generation born at the zoo.

Kufara’s mom Bakhita, that back in 2015 welcomed her second calf Dafari, was also born at the zoo in 2002 to mum Kalungwizi.
