Tuesday morning, 14 march 2017, Stukenbrock (DE) took the hard decision to euthanize its oldest White Rhino lady, due to arthrosis and costant pain.

It is believed that Buffy (Berta) was one of the oldest White Rhino ladies still alive in Germany. She was born wild in 1968 ca and has lived in Stukenbrock since 1971. In 2013 the EEP moved in the Facility another White Rhino Male, Snoopy, that still lives there. It is uncertain if Stukenbrock will welcome another rhino in the future. Till then, 47 years old Snoopy will live there alone.
