With great joy we report that Ramat Gan (IL) welcomed its 29th baby white rhino at the end of January 2017.
The calf, a male, was born to first-time mum Rihanna, that was born in South Africa in 2009 and came to Ramat Gan few years later. His name is Rami, the same name of the long-term head of the African section that has worked at the park for 30 years.
Keepers knowed that mum Rihanna had a romantic liaison with one of the males, Atari: infact her pregnancy soon followed.
Baby Rami joins a herd which now counts 14 White Rhinos. This marks Ramat Gan as one of the best Facility in the world, speaking in rhino terms!
