There is another baby rhino born in 2016 and weighted 140 pounds (63,5kg)!

He is from Fossil Rim (Texas,USA) and was born on 4 December. Unfortunately, he has been rejected by his mom at birth. According to Zoo Officials, this is not unusual with first time mothers like Ursula, 5 years, who is the last calf of the oldest white rhino dams who gave birth, Edith (she gave birth to Ursula when she was 42!). Edith passed away last year due to old age.

Keepers started to take care of Ursula’s little calf immediately and he get soon used to bottles: during his first month he was fed every two hours per day and he has now reached 290 pounds (132kg)!

Zoo Officials assure us that he is in very good health and will be available for public viewing next summer.
